And another WIP down 8D

Ooosh, I’m doing good. Almost there with clearing my to do list and now only one picture left that I’m not really in a hurry to finish.
I shouldn’t have accepted the invitation to the supersecretsanta thing but oh well, its too late for that. This particualar last picture will need alot of heart to be put into it since its supposed to be a surprise gift and stuff 8D; plus, I’m kinda happy with the request I received so I’m going to give it my all.
But firstly, I need to gather some references =3=!

Updates

Kanda Yuu

Talk about images giving you nightmares. The above one is definitely one =[]=!
Remind me not to draw water surfaces again EVER! DDDX and please, don’t stare at the hideous details *if there is any lmao*
You don’t want your eyes to bleed, do you ?
I’m just glad its all over so now I can move on to the next picture. Its already been sketched but I won’t start working on it yet. I don’t want to hate it by the time i submit it so I’ll give it another 10 days before starting 8D *yay, procrastination* cough

Also, to those interested, I’ve added one new event file. You can check it out at Extras page :D
Unfortunately, the file is only playable in opencanvas4.06eplus D; If you don’t have this software, go download it from portalgpahics.net now

Updates & Thank you~

Thank You

Finally, This WIP is also finished. Its supposed to be a kiriban image for my 22.222 hit won by persian alchemist @ deviantART but since I’m posting it here as well, I’d like to thank you to guys as well for the 26.500+ hits on this site.
Thanks alot for visiting everyone ♥♥♥~

OSH! Only two more WIPs to go and I’ll finally be free. Time to get some sleep even though I’m not feeling sleepy.

Updates

Zuko

First image in SAI 8D;
This software makes me so happy. I just wish I could regain my lost enthusiasm for drawing. These days I don’t feel motivated to do anything at all.
I want to rant some more about things I’ve seen around some online communities but I don’t even have the energy to type about it. Maybe its good thing that I don’t feel like it. It might hit some sensitive chords within certain individuals and the last thing I want now is more trouble.

All I could say for now is LOL and thanks for the entertainment.

Easy paint tool SAI

Updates

Added a whole bunch of my favorite fanart galleries of the awesome series, Mononoke [link to your right].
If you are a fan of Kusuri uri, you have to check out these galleries and ogle at the pwnsome artworks. Seriously Japan, you make me feel so miserable every time I look at works of your talented kids.

Current WIP : Avatar - Zuko

And my part of an art-trade with pd-inc@deviantart.com; Zuko from Avatar ♥
I’m using Easy paint tool SAI for the first time in making a full illustration and I just can’t believe I have never used this software before even though I downloaded it like 4 months ago X_X. SAI is by far the most amazing painting tool I’ve ever used right next to opencanvas. I can even say its almost as amazing as opencanvas despite being under constant development. I wonder how awesome would it be by the time the full official version of it is out.
For now, it feels like a combination of Painter and opencanvas only more user and system friendly.
The least I could say about SAI’s brushes is AMAZING! You’ll have to try them for yourself to feel how beautifully they work. Very interesting strokes and excellent control over lines. For me, this software is instant love and I’m planning to use it along with opencanvas for my works from now on.

I’m also going to finish all my to do list within the coming two days so that I’m totally free to scribble as many fanart as I want.
I’m leaving TTGL fandom behind for a while and focus more on something far MOOOORE interesting. I think I found a new fandom that’ll never die.

MONONOKE モノノ怪

wait for me TTWTT ♥♥♥ (o`з´o)

And because I realized that I’ve been fooling myself around believing that I’m able to draw whatever I want when in reality I can’t draw anything worth sh**, I decided it was time to do things properly and start learning some basics. I got myself a bunch of books through the recommendations of other experienced artists and I’m listing them just in case someone out there was as frustrated with their works as me. So far, things look complicated in these books because I still don’t believe its necessary to learn about each and every bone, tendon and vein in your body in order to draw it properly but if thats how the masters learned then I’m willing to give it a try and read more about them. After all, it is this knowledge that separates good artists from amateur ones like me. Thats why art students are able to be creative and more accurate with their works. Because the have the knowledge which I seriously lack. If nothing else, I’ll at least get an idea of basic anatomy. I’ll atleast learn more about colors and how to use them properly. I’m definitely not intending to learn about each and every single detail about the human figure but to have a broader idea of how things are supposed to be is always a plus point.
Anyways, on to the list :

Constructive Anatomy Drawing dynamic hands

» Drawing dynamic figure - Burne Hogarth [5 stars *____* <3333]
» Drawing dynamic hands - Burne Hogarth [5 stars *____* <3333]
» Constructive Anatomy - George B. Bridgman [10 stars *____* <3333]
» Artistic anatomy of the human figure - Henry Warren
» A guide to figure drawing - G. E. Hicks
» Costume designs and illustrations - Ethel Traphagen

And the Andrew Loomis series including ‘Figure drawing for all its worth’, ‘Creative illustration’, ‘Successful drawing’, ‘Drawing the head and hands’, ‘Fun with pencils’ and ‘Eye of the painter’. This guy Loomis dude talks alot so I’ll save his books for later. I’m a visual learner so for now, I’m reading the first few books because they have loads of illustrations and its going to be so much fun.

You can get Loomis’s books in .pdf format from here.
Back to practice *and Mononoke 8D <333*
